Our strategy and technology consultants have empowered our international clients with the knowledge and experience they need to build their own local resources and capabilities.
Our clients call upon us to work on their hardest problems—delivering effective health care, protecting warfighters and their families, keeping our national infrastructure secure, bringing into focus the traditional boundaries between consumer products and manufacturing as those boundaries blur.
Booz Allen was founded on the notion that we could help companies succeed by bringing them expert, candid advice and an outside perspective on their business. The analysis and perspective generated by that talent can be found in the case studies and thought leadership produced by our people.
We've come a long way delivering innovative solutions. But our next chapter is still being written.
Our 22,600 engineers, scientists, software developers, technologists, and consultants live to solve problems that matter. We’re proud of the diversity throughout our organization, from our most junior ranks to our board of directors and leadership team.
Booz Allen was founded by a veteran, has continuously supported the Department of Defense since our working with our first DoD client in 1940, and, today, one-third of Booz Allen’s employees have a military background. With those credentials, it’s easy to understand why Booz Allen invests in helping its veteran, reservist, and military spouse employees thrive.
Lead Associate Amy Bennett knows first-hand the difference that Booz Allen’s policies for military families can make. Amy’s husband, also a Booz Allen employee and Army reservist, was recently called up for an unexpected deployment.
“Last time my husband deployed we lost two-thirds of our income overnight and nearly lost our home. Because of the benefits that Booz Allen offers reservists—differential pay, continuing health and retirement benefits for up to one year of deployment—the situation is completely different for us this time. It demonstrates that Booz Allen both understands the unique needs of the military community and also places great value on the skills and expertise of its military, veteran, and military spouse workforce.”
“Many companies hire military spouses, but Booz Allen takes it a step beyond.”
- Tracy Freedman, Associate
Here’s what sets Booz Allen apart in its outreach to the military community:
Support for military spouses is an important differentiator for our employees.
“Many companies hire military spouses,” says Booz Allen Associate Tracy Freedman, “but Booz Allen takes it a step beyond by emphasizing that this is a place where military spouses can grow a career, not just get a job.”
Tracy has worked for Booz Allen for 7 years and during that time has relocated three times with her husband, a Marine officer. “There’s a lot of support for military spouses impacted by frequent service relocations—and great awareness of the needs of our community among career managers and career mobility teams at Booz Allen,” Tracy says. “It makes all the difference.”
Booz Allen’s support for military families engages all parts of the firm in a common cause—client teams, forums focused on military families, recruiting, human resources, and corporate social responsibility.
“That excites me,” Amy says. “I’m proud to work for a company that honors the service and sacrifice of military families in this way.”
