A Legacy of LGBTQ+ Pride

Key Partnerships & Initiatives

We honor the legacy of Pride by standing for equality and visibility. We equip our employees to thrive and support the LGBTQ+ community at large. Here are a few of our key initiatives:

GLOBE+: Booz Allen’s LGBTQ+ Business Resource Group

GLOBE+ advances the professional development, growth, and visibility of LGBTQ+ employees and our allies by focusing on:

  • Retention through engagement and advocacy
  • Recruitment through pipeline partnerships
  • Reputation through community building
  • Resiliency by taking care of each other when times are tough

We are committed to fostering intersectional partnerships that protect communities and advance the pursuit of equality and justice. GLOBE+ builds solidarity with networks supporting Women, African American, Latinx, and Asian and Pacific Islander communities as well as several military family and veteran groups both inside and outside the firm. We also flex our technical expertise through work with STEM groups like Out in Tech, Lesbians Who Tech, and QueerCon.

Through our efforts, the firm has been awarded perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index for 10 years running and is recognized as an industry leader in advancing workplace quality.

Consulting on LGBTQ+ Community Wellness

We partner with several organizations to tackle health and wellness issues facing the LGBTQ+ community, including:

  • Collaborating on a study on the economic impact of COVID-19 on Pride with Capital Pride
  • Volunteering to support LGBTQ+ youth struggling with identity, coming out, depression, and suicide with the Trevor Project
  • Building capacity and development strategy, and sponsoring Walk to End HIV with Whitman Walker Health
  • Exhibiting the AIDS Quilt annually in corporate headquarters through The Names Project

Bringing Data Science to the Arts

For several seasons, queer data scientists have brought the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC useful insights into audience perception and fundraising trends. Our analysts ran a patron survey to better assess perceptions and sentiment, conducted an annual review of donation activity, and applied the Booz Allen ADAPT-C framework to assess the group’s data governance and maturity.
