“The digital battlespace isn’t about the next big gun. It’s about how well you make connections and realize information superiority to achieve overmatch.”
- Greg Wenzel, Executive Vice President, Booz Allen
While information warfare is essential for meeting the challenges of near-peer conflict, the Department of Defense (DoD) needs to incorporate this concept into an all-encompassing vision to comprehensively prepare for the future of war.
That vision is the Digital Battlespace.
The Digital Battlespace is an information-driven, fully integrated conflict space extending across all warfighting domains. The concept offers the military a powerful way to transcend today’s organizational and acquisition boundaries. It makes information the central organizing feature for requirements creation, acquisition, and planning and operations across the force generation lifecycle—from how warfighters are equipped and trained to how they execute in battle.
