A: We begin considering students for our internship program during our fall recruiting season, typically between late August and late October. We also post all open internship positions on our website, careers.boozallen.com. Find all open internship positions by typing "Summer Games" or "intern" in the search bar.
A: Whether you’re a participant in the Summer Games or a traditional summer hire, interning at Booz Allen is a great opportunity. The Summer Games is a project-based, intensive, 10-week internship program—guided by our senior leaders—that simulates a real-world startup accelerator. Summer Games participants are encouraged to collaborate and given intellectual freedom to develop and prototype ideas aimed at solving major world problems.
Conversely, summer hires participate in more traditional internships, supporting the wide-ranging needs of a specific account team. The roles and responsibilities of a summer hire are determined by the team to which the intern is aligned.
A: We offer paid internships. For our Summer Games program, our salaries are based on graduation year. While we ask that our teams use the same guidelines for summer hires, salaries for these internships are decided by their respective teams.
A: It may be possible to get academic credit for your internship, but Booz Allen cannot grant credit independently. Typically, credit is awarded by your academic department and policies differ from one academic office to another. While Booz Allen does not give academic credit for an internship, we will review and validate any documentation from your college or university that might allow you to obtain credit for a Booz Allen internship. It’s important to note that our internships are paid, which can sometimes preclude a student from getting credit for an internship.
A: While previous work experience is a plus, it is not required for an internship with Booz Allen. We review academic work, volunteering history, extracurricular involvement, and other experiences that demonstrate the skills you’ll bring to the internship.
A: In addition to reviewing all of the open positions on our website, you can build your network, approach us as an employer of interest if you see us on your campus, put your best foot forward in writing your resume, and be prepared for the interview process. We look for students who demonstrate that they have a passion and willingness to learn.

A: No, you do not need to currently hold a security clearance to be considered. All candidates must be eligible to obtain a clearance and work in the United States indefinitely without restrictions, but an existing security clearance (although a plus!) is not a requirement.
