Year-One Recap: What We’ve Achieved

CEdge and Core-CSI have made significant strides in their first year with Booz Allen’s NGA Mentor Protégé Program. Here are a few highlights from our collaboration:

  • Booz Allen advised CEdge as it matured its technology services in geospatial intelligence, solutions architecture, data analytics, software/cloud development, and system security engineering. Booz Allen’s AI/ML experts also coached CEdge on developing its artificial intelligence tool, CModelEdge.
  • We closely guided Core-CSI in capability development for its business-decision-support tool, CoreStrategy. The tool uses AI/ML modeling capabilities to grow Core-CSI market expansion in the Northern Virginia region.
  •  Facilitated by Booz Allen subject matter experts and backed by our Corporate Quality Office, we aided both protégés in pursuing certifications and ratings in both the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (ISO 9001 QMS) and the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI).

There are more exciting things to come as we move into our second year of mentorship. We look forward to deepening our relationship with both protégé companies, working together to drive innovation and broadening our capacity to be successful.

What is the Mentor Protégé Program?

Sponsored by the Department of Defense, the Small Business Administration (SBA), and other federal agencies, the Mentor Protégé Program is dedicated to connecting experienced “mentor” companies with small, specialized “protégé” businesses.
