Booz Allen Commercial delivers advanced cyber defenses to the Fortune 500 and Global 2000. We are technical practitioners and cyber-focused management consultants with unparalleled experience – we know how cyber-attacks happen and how to defend against them.
Our strategy and technology consultants have empowered our international clients with the knowledge and experience they need to build their own local resources and capabilities.
In facing challenges of modernization, our Middle East and North Africa clients have complex requirements that benefit from our proven experience in guiding major programs and projects for governments and private-sector organizations. The services we offer in UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, Kuwait, Morocco, Jordan, and other regional countries build on our consulting legacy.
Our clients call upon us to work on their hardest problems—delivering effective health care, protecting warfighters and their families, keeping our national infrastructure secure, bringing into focus the traditional boundaries between consumer products and manufacturing as those boundaries blur.
Booz Allen was founded on the notion that we could help companies succeed by bringing them expert, candid advice and an outside perspective on their business. The analysis and perspective generated by that talent can be found in the case studies and thought leadership produced by our people.

Open source software and platforms are experiencing explosive growth in the public sector and beyond. In the last 5 years, the Linux Foundation increased membership by 432 percent, while there has been more than $57 billion of value creation in open source mergers and acquisitions, and initial public offerings. In addition, the Office of Management and Budget released the Federal Source Code Policy in 2016 mandating all agencies release at least 20 percent of their new, custom-developed source code as open source software.
Booz Allen is leading the way among system integrators in this open source boom. As an “open technology” provider, we’re not just talking about collaborating openly with industry leaders and our government clients. We’re actively doing it. To support our clients and enable rapid use of open source software by our government clients, we established the Booz Allen Public License. This new license makes it easier for agencies to adopt open source and better protect assets and intellectual property. Rather than choosing among many different licenses, government clients can use ours without republishing code modifications while maintaining compliance with federal acquisition regulations.
As part of our license release and representing years of internal investment, best practices, and lessons learned, we’ve also published two cornerstone solutions that accelerate how federal agencies can use big data platforms and DevSecOps:
While we’re pushing the open source envelope, we’re also advancing industry thought around technology and digital transformation—such as in our Enterprise DevOps and Agile Playbooks—and giving back to industry. We’re working together with continuous delivery software services provider CloudBees and the Jenkins community to build open source solutions and define how these solutions will work going forward. We’re also actively engaged in numerous Apache Software Foundation projects, such as Apache NiFi.
Based on our real-world experiences with federal clients, we know that open source software is a foundation to successful digital transformation. We can help you understand the value of open source and adopt solutions that better meet your unique mission and business needs.
Many federal agencies are reluctant to adopt open source software due to security, coding, and UX concerns. Learn about the myths, and the reality of open source. Read More
By implementing the DATA Act with radical transparency, Agile workflows, and continuous delivery, we’re giving interested Americans a better understanding of federal spending than they’ve ever had before, and demonstrating that agile development principles can be successfully applied to projects that span nearly the entire government.
