November 28, 2017
McLean, VA – Booz Allen Hamilton today announced the retirement of Executive Vice President Joseph Logue, who leads the firm’s defense and intelligence businesses, effective on June 30, 2018, and the appointment of executive leaders to new roles, effective on April 1, 2018.
“For two decades, Joe Logue has helped Booz Allen succeed and grow in a variety of roles, capped by four years at the helm of our defense and intelligence business,” said Horacio Rozanski, President and Chief Executive Officer. Logue also led the firm’s re-entry into international markets, including the Middle East and Asia, and earlier in his career, he led Booz Allen’s global commercial IT business.
“Joe’s knowledge of client dynamics and commitment to their missions have helped put Booz Allen on a path to accelerating growth both domestically and internationally,” Rozanski said. “He will leave the firm with tremendous thanks and many well wishes from our Board of Directors, the Leadership Team, and countless colleagues.”
The firm announced that, beginning April 1, 2018, in connection with our new fiscal year, Executive Vice President Karen Dahut will become head of the firm’s defense business, Executive Vice President Christopher Ling will become head of the intelligence business, and Executive Vice President Kristine Martin Anderson will become head of the civil business.
Dahut, a former Naval officer, currently leads Booz Allen’s commercial and civil businesses and has previously held several other key roles, including as head of the Strategic Innovation Group and the Navy Marine Corps business. Ling currently runs the international business, and, prior to that, led multiple elements of our intelligence market. Anderson currently leads the health business. Dahut will continue her role on the firm’s Leadership Team (LT), and Ling and Anderson will join the LT, effective December 6th.
“Booz Allen’s growth—in markets, capabilities, talent, and revenue—is yielding new opportunities for our firm. These leaders have decades of experience serving clients, running businesses, building solutions, and driving technology transformation,” Rozanski said. “They are well suited to take our firm into the future, with our shared purpose and values always at the forefront. With these appointments, we maintain our position as a corporate leader in diversity at the highest level of management. We are committed to attracting, retaining, developing, and promoting leaders with the broadest range of skills, perspectives, and experiences. It’s good for our clients and good for our firm.”
