Brian McCarthy arrived in San Francisco without an office. There he found a community of dreamers, doers, and disrupters – the perfect setting for a digital collaboration experience.
Growing up in a family of Booz Allen consultants, Jason Eller couldn’t imagine a Firm as a home for engineers. That all changed when he met two engineers in the Advanced Prototyping Lab at Booz Allen. Now Booz Allen has empowered Jason to manipulate electronics and build things every day, including his mobile counterfeit detector, which uncovers nefarious hardware.
The Summer Games Program is a 10-week Internship program based on innovation. Alexe Weymouth wanted to find a way to tap into the talent of fresh minds while solving real world problems. Through digital tools, passionate curiosity, and a drive to create, Booz Allen is better off for it.
BeatAwake is an algorithm that tracks biometric data such as heart rate through crowd sensing methods and pairs up to wearable technology. Initially, the algorithm was thought up to be able to track heart rate and detect when a driver was falling asleep. However, it’s potential doesn’t stop there – since the creation of the proof of concept, other life-saving uses have come to light. For example, BeatAwake’s algorithm could also be used to detect troop movements and prevent potential attacks on the battlefield.
Booz Allen helped stand up and continues to support the Automotive Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Auto-ISAC). Today, more than 99 percent of light-duty vehicles in North America work with the Auto-ISAC to proactively defend the connected cars of today and tomorrow.
Booz Allen is using AgilQuest technology solutions to change the way their employees engage with the workplace. We partnered with WorkDesign magazine to tell the story.
