Alex D’Agostino is a principal in our Joint Combatant Commands account, where he manages a portfolio of work focused on security cooperation, joint force development and modernization, and defense policy and program implementation. He supports clients including the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy.
With 15 years of experience in defense consulting, he is a seasoned program and portfolio manager and team leader overseeing security cooperation activities. Alex leads a team focused on policy analysis, analytics, and decision support to address complex issues of strategic importance for capacity building.
Alex also served in the U.S. Army for 30 years in both active and reserve capacities. His experience includes service in the Middle East, South Asia, and Central America, with operational experience in Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
His functional expertise includes strategic planning, strategic and operational logistics, and defense resource management. He has also served in senior operational and advisory roles with foreign partners for counter-narcotics, counter-corruption, and strategic supply chain and distribution management initiatives.
Alex holds several master’s degrees: an M.B.A. and M.A. in public administration from Syracuse University; an M.P.A. from Jacksonville State University; and a master’s in strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College. He holds certifications as a project management professional and a defense financial manager with acquisitions specialty. He is also a member of the International Institute of Strategic Studies.
