The Outcome
Booz Allen delivered three supporting playbooks that enabled the business to make strategic operational decisions at a rapid pace with increased confidence in their manufacturing and supply chains. This has empowered them to develop stricter security controls for vendors and, ultimately, strengthen their supply chain during times of uncertainty.
The Situation
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, a Fortune 500 global tech enterprise’s supply chain had become severely disrupted. They knew that a break in the chain would affect their entire operation, causing major financial losses and reputational damage. The organization was struggling to collect and disperse supply chain data across executive management. Making matters worse, they were having trouble holding vendors accountable.
The Approach
Starting with a data-driven approach, combined with our in-house cyber threat intelligence, we identified crisis management opportunities for their supply chain—including 11 immediate recommendations to improve their Continuity Planning and Resiliency program. We conducted strategic attack simulations with global vendors and suppliers to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues in the collective supply chain ecosystem.
