Sean Chaffee is a health IT leader in Booz Allen’s civil business. Leading the firm’s support of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) across a diverse portfolio of programs, Sean and his multidisciplinary teams deliver a broad range of capabilities including digital modernization and IT, life sciences and clinical research management, analytics, and cybersecurity.
Earlier at Booz Allen, he led our work at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) including managing an agency IT modernization program underpinning FDA’s safety surveillance work for drugs and therapeutic biologics and spearheading an enterprise search modernization effort to expand drug information available to FDA’s regulatory review community.
Prior to joining Booz Allen, Sean was a federal health director at Publicis Sapient, where he advised and supported U.S. health agencies on IT strategy, software delivery, and digital transformation.
Sean holds an M.S. in engineering and computer science from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in computer systems engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is a certified project management professional.
