Josh Mullen leads Booz Allen's commercial health and life sciences and energy businesses. He and his teams help clients develop cyber solutions to safeguard their proprietary information. Josh’s global clients range from pharmaceuticals and healthcare providers to oil and gas and energy exploration companies.
With more than 16 years of experience, Josh focuses on risk mitigation in the areas of security, cloud, and analytics. Prior to his current role, Josh worked in the firm's financial services business, managing some of our commercial financial services clients in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
Josh received an M.A. in international relations and national security policy from American University, and a B.A. in history with a minor in Middle Eastern studies from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington.

Booz Allen's revolutionary work in artificial intelligence and machine learning enables security teams to unlock and interpret data in previously unimaginable ways. This drives cost savings, brings down average dwell times, and allows proactive hunt and predictive alerting.
Why are you passionate about what you and your teams do at Booz Allen? The cyber challenges we help our clients solve are of utmost importance to the very foundations of our lives. Whether it's assisting financial services institutions with safeguarding their data or helping pharmaceutical companies protect information as they develop and deliver life-saving medications worldwide, I rarely find myself in short supply of inspiration for why the work we do matters.
Why is it important for Booz Allen to be a diverse and inclusive workplace? First and foremost, because it’s the right thing to do. I also believe that you cannot know what you cannot know. In the cyber arena, we deal with threat actors worldwide—some driven by cultural differences, some caused by political discord, and some driven by financial need. It's impossible to understand an adversary fully. However, you can build a team of smart people from diverse backgrounds with unique experiences that enable a more well-informed view of the world.
