Jen Zais is a program, acquisition, and operational management leader in Booz Allen’s global defense business. She leads our U.S. Army mission systems business, focused on optimizing command, control, communications, computers, and navigation (C4N) capabilities. Jen and her team deliver cutting-edge mission command applications, data management tools, software, and associated hardware solutions designed to maximize soldier effectiveness and fortify national security.
Before joining Booz Allen, Jen led the global program management office at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where she and her team supported over 1,400 public sector solution architects and engineers. Prior to her work in the private sector, she served more than 20 years as a U.S. Army officer across the defense acquisition, medical service, and logistic communities. Among her many notable assignments, Jennifer was the chief acquisition advisor to the Deputy Chief of Staff, Army G-3/5/7, advising leadership on capital investments for the Future Years Defense Program.
Jen is certified as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associate, an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, a Project Management Professional (PMP), and Defense Acquisition (DAWIA) Level III Program Management.
She holds an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, an M.A. in literature from the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. in systems engineering/art, philosophy, and literature from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
