Booz Allen Receives CMMI Maturity Level (ML) 5 Rating, the Highest Benchmark in Systems Delivery Quality Management

McLean VA — Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE:BAH) today announced its System Delivery Execution organization has been appraised at Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI-DEV) v1.3 ML 5, the highest certification in systems delivery process and quality management awarded by the CMMI Institute. The appraisal rating was issued following an independent Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) A appraisal by an independent certified High Maturity Lead Appraiser and team. SCAMPI A is used to assess the strengths and weaknesses of an organization’s processes against CMMI best practices.

The CMMI is a capability improvement framework and benchmark model that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. As one of only 11 Fortune 500 companies to receive this designation, the ML 5 rating demonstrates Booz Allen’s ability to implement process-based methodologies applied to software development, with a focus on continual systematic and technological enhancements over time.
