Data is the lifeblood of delivering mission and IT services to customers. Better data means better decisioning. Means better information to grab together insights to drive improvements. What motivates me to come to work every day is to driving that improvement. Some people will find that iterative work kind of boring, operations work. I've always been passionate about national security because of the impact it has on our nation. I view our mission, my team's mission here at Booz Allen, as being critical to protecting the country. My name is Carl Ghattas. I'm the Senior Vice President here at Booz Allen, and I lead the Law Enforcement portfolio. Prior to coming here at Booz Allen, I was in the FBI for 21 years. And because of that work, I developed a passion for identifying vulnerabilities in the national security of the United States and figuring out how to address those vulnerabilities. And so here at Booz Allen, I have the opportunity to do that, in the counterterrorism world, when you're chasing terrorists around the globe, you need to have the appropriate tools at your fingertips like artificial intelligence, like 5G, like quantum. Our efforts to ensure that our clients—federal law enforcement agencies—have have access to these critical emerging technologies is absolutely key to protecting our communities and protecting our national security. What motivates us is our technological expertise and our ability to understand the mission that our clients have.

So what I'm passionate about is solving problems that have a societal impact. And when you build a team that shares that passion, you can really bring value to your clients. I'm Mike Miller, Principal at Booz Allen; my career is focused on supporting the various missions of the Department of Energy. People think of the Department of Energy as energy, but those missions span everything from energy research to maintaining the nuclear weapons stockpile. When I came to Booz Allen 25 years ago, I had really been exposed to information technology and other capabilities. And as Booz Allen has evolved over time, I've also evolved in my career. What we're trying to do in this country now with machine learning and AI applies to energy research. It applies to environmental cleanup and accelerating that mission. And frankly, it applies to new areas that we hadn't thought of years ago. The most rewarding thing for me is the evolution of technology in this country. I think it's that science and technological, capability and trying to maintain the U.S. engine that and applying that to all these problems. I think that's the common fabric.
