What brings talented people to Charlottesville, Virginia? Some might say it's the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, flourishing outdoor and sporting communities, or live music and entertainment scene. For the Booz Allen team in Charlottesville, it’s the chance to empower real change. “What we do directly impacts the warfighter by giving them a competitive advantage on the battlefield,” says John Gross, our Charlottesville area business lead.
The work is both complex and pivotal. Our team provides all-source intelligence analysis for our Department of Defense (DOD) and U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) clients, as well as enables intelligence production and dissemination through systems development and cloud service brokerage support for INSCOM’s National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC).
We also play a unique role in the security of vehicles. At our Vehicle Cyber Analysis Center, we build new capabilities to tackle emerging cyber threats to aerial and ground vehicles. The team’s focus includes vehicle telematics, vehicle security training, and vehicle digital forensics. “Our work impacts everyone that owns a vehicle,” says Darin Hutchison, cyber threat intelligence lead. “From personal security to government fleet vehicles, data protection is a top priority.”
The diversity of our work directly reflects the makeup of our team. “Each individual brings something different to the table,” says Clark French, recruiter. “We have new hires with new perspectives in new technology, as well as seasoned veterans that know how to get the job done. Everyone is collaborative and always willing to help one another.”
Ultimately, it’s our mission—and the missions of our clients—that unite the Charlottesville team. “The work we're doing here is fascinating, cutting edge, and of paramount importance to the national security of our country,” says Clark. John agrees. “We provide situational awareness and predictive intelligence to national-level policymakers, operational planners, and deployed tactical units worldwide. Our work has a real impact on the intelligence community and beyond: That’s the biggest reason to come here.”
