For example, Senior Product Support Analyst John Fisch III leads logistics and life cycle sustainment work supporting the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center. A retired Air Force officer, John uses his expertise to lead a team that is transforming the life cycle sustainment capability and using modern data science and systems engineering tools to maximize nuclear support systems.

Meanwhile, John Conner, a systems engineer, supports a National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency research project. He works with software developers to integrate algorithms that ensure mission success across New Mexico and the country.

And Keith Brown, an aircraft and monitor control (AMAC) test team lead, uses his 25+ years of Air Force experience to improve operation software for nuclear weapons. He explains that “Among other deliverables, the AMAC software team operates test equipment on U.S. and NATO aircraft to collect the data to support the AMAC portions of nuclear certification.”

Our experts’ praise for Albuquerque and Las Cruces started to sound like a travel ad—each person was genuinely enthusiastic about living in New Mexico.

“I’ve lived in 13 states and traveled extensively through the rest, and I have to say that New Mexico is my favorite. We have it all—history, culture, arts, and year-round availability of a wide variety of outdoor activities,” says John.

Chris Rath, a talent acquisition lead, notes that the weather is the main draw for her. “It’s literally 360 days of sunshine, so we enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities like hiking, running, and camping all year.”

Keith agrees: “I like to say that New Mexico has California weather without the expenses of living there. The Sandia Mountain range provides a beautiful view every evening and excellent hiking trails. And within a couple hours’ drive, you can be in forested areas with great camping and lakes.”
