Steve Escaravage leads Booz Allen’s defense technology business, where he guides the development and delivery of AI-first, mission-ready, and software-defined technologies. Under his leadership, teams combine deep technical expertise and customer-specific insights to advance autonomy, battle management, electronic warfare, counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS), resilient communications, and enterprise automation.
Steve joined Booz Allen in 2000 and has focused on the intersections of accelerating missions using advanced technologies. Prior to this role, he led the company’s AI business, resulting in Booz Allen being recognized as the largest provider of AI services to the government. Steve has also served in delivery oversight and leadership roles in Booz Allen’s chief technology office, health, energy, commercial, and international businesses.
Outside of Booz Allen, Steve serves on the Atlantic Council’s ReForge Commission. He previously served on the Atlantic Council’s Commissions on Software-Defined Warfare and Defense Innovation Adoption as well as the Center for a New American Security’s Task Force on AI and National Security. He is also an active community volunteer on the Special Olympics Virginia Board of Directors.
Steve is a four-time Wash100 award winner. He holds a B.A. in mathematics from Rutgers University and an M.S. in operations research from George Mason University.
