In 2026, the U.S. will co-host the men’s World Cup. Spanning 16 North American cities and bringing together teams and fans from nearly 50 nations, it will be one of the largest international sporting events in history. The tournament will also overlap with the nation’s 250th anniversary, making it one of the most complex and culturally significant security operations of the decade. And it will be closely followed by 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and other summits and commemorative events.
No single agency can tackle the unprecedented security challenges that each of these events will present. Ensuring public safety at this scale requires strategic public-private partnerships and real-time, data-driven situational awareness.

National-Level Security Event—National Capital Region
The Booz Allen Sit(x)® platform is a managed service that runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud and enables rapid deployment of Team Awareness Kits (TAKs). It provides significant cost savings and enhanced performance compared with do-it-yourself alternatives. At a high-profile national security event, Booz Allen Sit(x) and USG TAKs facilitated secure, federated communication across multiple domains. A real-time map of all the officers, vehicles, aircraft, and drones along with emergency coordination and crowd management overlays were successfully integrated into the operation. Finally, Booz Allen Sit(x) enabled resilient communication workflows and seamless multi-agency data sharing.
Hurricane Response Operations—Southeastern U.S. (2024–2025)
During major hurricane responses, USG TAK and Booz Allen Sit(x) were deployed to support joint operations centers and emergency response teams. Our solutions enhanced geospatial awareness, facilitated multi-agency coordination, and maintained operational continuity under degraded communications conditions. They also helped personnel on the ground to view and share maps with operational details like road closures, evacuation zones, and potential hazards layered on. They also included live USG TAK chat and asset tracking, which enabled a unified emergency response.
National-Level Training Exercise—Western U.S.
To support over 3,000 troops during a large-scale National Training Center (NTC) rotation, we delivered a complete USG TAK and Booz Allen Sit(x) architecture optimized for contested environments. Highlights included federation across first responder and partner agencies, known or suspected threats, and command and dispatch groups. In addition, it enabled HF radio integration via PRC-160 to demonstrate data backhaul in GPS- and LTE-denied environments, targeting workflows leveraging CRSBO and Global Chameleon for seamless fire mission execution, and live integration with AFATDS to close the sensor-to-shooter loop in a complex training scenario.
UNC 10-Miler—Chapel Hill, NC (2023)
During the high-traffic UNC 10-Miler event with over 6,000 runners and 10,000 attendees, full integration of USG TAK, Sit(x), GV-Streamer, and sUAS platforms provided live overwatch and crowd movement tracking via UAS, real-time coordination with emergency management agencies, and digital overlays for route planning and response optimization. This successful operation laid the groundwork for future deployments across North Carolina.
Super Bowl LVII—Phoenix (2023)
Faced with internal challenges deploying an in-house USG TAK server, one city’s public safety team transitioned to Sit(x), enabling seamless multi-agency support for Super Bowl LVII. More than 60 members of the team used USG ATAK, Booz Allen Sit(x), and GV-Streamer for real-time UAS feeds and stadium surveillance, near real-time cloud sharing of imagery and overlays using a secure data marketplace, federation with national-level security partners, and stable performance across congested networks. The team maintained a live operational picture, reallocated resources dynamically, and ensured that all stakeholders had the right data at the right time. Booz Allen Sit(x) enabled push-to-cloud workflows that gave responders near-instant access to mission-critical information.

This success showcased how integrated intelligence and cross-agency coordination can transform public safety during large-scale, open-access gatherings.
