Mark W. (Wes) Haga is a senior solutions architect with more than 30 years of experience managing and architecting multidomain platforms, systems, and environments. He directs thought leadership for our diverse technical teams. Wes develops, tests, and implements enterprise digital and information technology (IT) systems and applications, as well as defensive and offensive cyber capabilities.
His primary focus is Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR). He leads complex C5ISR research and development, engineering, integration, and testing initiatives. His team also supports clients such as the Director of National Intelligence, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Air Force Research Laboratory, Air Force Material Command, and Air Combat Command.
Wes delivers technical transformation across global missions to ensure that warfighter communications are secured, encrypted, and accredited to optimize efficiency and reduce sustainment costs. His most challenging—yet rewarding—project has been the ongoing modernization of the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS). Wes has helped lead the effort since the initial overhaul of the IT-based weapon system, rebuilding it into an open architecture platform while consolidating data centers and designing new system sustainment capabilities.
Prior to Booz Allen, Wes was at the Headquarters Air Force/Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, Cyber Effects Operations division. In addition to his DCGS work, he supported a modernization portfolio that included disaster recovery for cross-domain management, a trusted workstation program, and other Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication Systems programs.
Wes is a Defense Acquisition University certified engineer, level 3. He received a B.S. in computer and information science from Troy University and two associate’s degrees from the Community College of the Air Force, one in telecommunications management and the other in avionic system technology.
