Dr. Samer Abi Chaker is a leader in the firm’s health business in our Middle East and North Africa region. Based in Abu Dhabi, he and his team support private and public sector clients with strategy and implementation efforts. Their work focuses on areas associated with health system design, healthcare service optimization, public health policy development, payment reform, emergency preparedness and response, data analytics, and health artificial intelligence and machine learning.
For more than 11 years, Samer has consulted for health organizations located in the Gulf Cooperation Council region. He and his team have helped some of the most influential heads of health organizations re-envision health systems by optimizing their costs and sustainability, devising tailored payment models, designing health emergency preparedness and response plans, setting up integrated health networks, developing business plans and identifying investment opportunities, and setting up digital capabilities.
Prior to joining Booz Allen, Samer worked with the American University of Beirut, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, and the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation.
He received an M.D. from the American University of Beirut. He also received an M.P.H. from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health—where he focused on healthcare finance and management, health economics, and public health policy—and a B.S. in biology from the American University of Beirut.
