Missy Gillette helms Booz Allen’s cyber risk and assessment work. She is responsible for the design and implementation of cyber risk and assessment capabilities for global business, government, defense, and national security clients. Through program-level cyber transformation, cyber risk management, and cyber operations modernization, she helps clients manage their cybersecurity risk with solutions tailored to their environment and risk posture.
Since she’s been with the firm, Missy has been instrumental in developing data-centric cyber risk and assessment methodologies that are tailored to client environments and using automation and visualizations to effectively illustrate cyber deficiencies that matter. Missy’s core functionalities include cyber diagnostics; cybersecurity architecture design; continuous improvement through performance metrics; and risk optimization and threat modeling.
Before joining Booz Allen, Missy worked with startups, financial institutions, and consulting firms, developing and managing risk management and cybersecurity control programs. Her notable projects include building out a national-level cyber defense capability with a continuous management tool to monitor cyber defense in real time, developing risk models and methodologies for dynamic threat landscapes, and developing enterprise-wide cyber incident response strategies and processes. She has also held high-level information risk and cybersecurity roles at several financial institutions, including Wells Fargo, Merrill Lynch, U.S. Bancorp, and Bank of America.
Missy holds a B.S. in finance from Miami University and she is currently earning an M.S. in information systems with a specialization in systems security from Northwestern University.
