Spring 2022 was a busy time professionally for Alexis (Lex) “Scrappy” Hopkins. She joined Booz Allen’s Melbourne, Florida, team as a junior developer. And she was drafted by the Kentucky Wild Health Genomes from Lexington, Kentucky, making history as the first female drafted by the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
This summer, Hopkins is a Genomes bullpen catcher developing for an on-field role. At the same time, she’s working on what she calls “technology with a purpose” for Booz Allen and its clients.
How can someone pursue—and fulfill—two dreams simultaneously? Booz Allen’s BE3 Promise is a big part of the answer.
