Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) is proud to receive, for the 7th consecutive year, a perfect score of 100 percent on the Corporate Equality Index (CEI). Administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation—America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality—the CEI is a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT equality in the workplace. Booz Allen was one of only 407 US businesses to earn top marks this year—out of the 1,027 businesses rated in the 2016 CEI report.
The report evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. Three new criteria added to the CEI for 2016—around corporate giving policies, and the requirements that businesses’ inclusive, non-discrimination policies extend beyond the US to their global operations, and to contractors and vendors—made achieving a perfect score even more difficult. Booz Allen’s 100 percent ranking and designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality is a result of meeting or surpassing all of the CEI’s criteria. And it’s a reflection of the firm’s deep commitment to ensuring that its policies and benefits continue to reflect the needs of its diverse culture.
“In the 2016 CEI, hundreds of major businesses responded to our new standards for workplace equality with exceptional leadership,” says HRC Foundation Workplace Equality Program Director Deena Fidas. “Booz Allen not only meets these standards, it goes above and beyond the call of duty, making commitment to equality a fundamental aspect of its corporate values."

Booz Allen is continually recognized for its quality work and corporate culture. Working Mother magazine has ranked the firm among its “100 Best Companies” annually since 1999 and has inducted Booz Allen into the award’s Hall of Fame, and—among its other recognition in 2015—the firm was ranked 3rd in the IT Services category on FORTUNE magazine's list of "Most Admired Companies," was ranked 12th on Military Times’ “Best for Vets: Employers” list for a culture and policies that cater to veterans, and received “Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles” recognition from The National Business Group on Health for its “ongoing commitment and dedication to promoting a healthy work environment and encouraging its workers and families to maintain healthy lifestyles.”
