Chris Hong, systems engineer on our Navy/Marine Corps account, always knew he wanted to be part of something bigger. “My dad took me to an aviation museum as a child because he grew up seeing the planes during the war. They meant something to him. I’d look at those planes and think, ‘That’s what I want to do.’ So, I joined Booz Allen, where I help the Navy and Marine Corps protect our warfighters.”
Mission-focused work is only part of the equation. Chris also has career goals he’s checking off his list. “In order to become the best, you have to learn from the best. And here I am, working with experts in their fields—it’s infinite knowledge.”
Kathy Brown, solutions engineer, joined Booz Allen for similar reasons. While serving in the military, Kathy fought the cyber threats that endangered her unit’s airframes. Today, she works with us to ensure the Navy’s cybersecurity processes are consistent across the organization, holding table-top cyber risk assessments to evaluate threats that could impact the mission. “Our work helps the Navy make more informed decisions and allocate available resources to secure critical warfighting systems against cyber threats.”
Booz Allen supports the Navy and Marine Corps through our offices in San Diego, CA; Lexington Park and Dahlgren, MD; Panama City, FL; DC metro; Charleston, SC; and Norfolk, VA. Together, the team’s big ideas have a big impact. “We’re strengthening our national security and that plays into everything that happens around the world,” says Alexa Montgomery, senior recruiter.
