Marc Buchsbaum is a human resources (HR) leader at Booz Allen. Based out of our McLean, Virginia, office, his areas of expertise include designing core HR rewards programs, building HR teams and programs from scratch, managing large-scale transformational change, and navigating the ever-evolving executive compensation landscape.
Prior to joining Booz Allen, Marc was the global leader of HR operations, total rewards, and mobility at AECOM in Los Angeles, where he was responsible for setting strategy and leading operations for the company’s diverse compensation and benefit programs. His accomplishments there include introducing a new career model that clarified the different paths to growth and advancement, redesigning bonus and long-term incentive programs, and introducing a project-based bonus program that addressed the issue of decreasing margins.
Prior to AECOM, Marc worked at Johnson Controls Inc., a global automotive company, in both a lead rewards and HR generalist role. Before that he worked in a similar capacity for Lenovo, a leading technology company, and companies in a variety of other industries. Marc began his career in consulting, initially working for Arthur Anderson & Company and Aon Hewitt, and then in lead HR-related roles for the Hay Group and Sibson Consulting.
Marc has been a frequent speaker at The Conference Board where he has served as a member of the compensation council and a board member of the executive compensation council.
He holds a master’s in finance from Georgia State University and a bachelor’s in accounting from Adelphi University.
