Chief Marketing & Communications Officer Grant McLaughlin provides strategic direction for our communications, integrated marketing efforts, and community partnerships, while promoting a unified Booz Allen brand worldwide. Championing the company’s focus as an innovative and essential partner to our clients, Grant and his team work with leadership, markets, and employees to amplify the brand, support growth platforms, engage with employees, and connect with the communities where we live and work.
Previously, Grant served as a key leader shaping functional and market business offerings. Under his leadership, the firm’s strategic communication business grew from less than 10 people to a capability of more than 700 in fewer than 10 years.
His integrated management team of emerging technologists, social marketers, transformation drivers, and analytical powerhouses reshape the way clients look at—and innovate in—their mission-centered programs. Grant brings these successful strategies and his first-hand insights of market needs to advance the firm’s brand for clients, employees, and investors.

With more than 20 years of communications consulting experience, Grant is changing the conversation around digital communications, collaboration, engagement, organizational transformation, and measurement to solve our nation’s toughest challenges.
Grant and his teams have driven outcomes with their work in a wide variety of areas. For example, they created an agency’s organizational construct to help protect our nation from threats and developed programs so citizens can navigate their eligibility to receive government benefits. Grant and his teams have also designed health promotion campaigns to build resilience, facilitate recovery, and support reintegration of returning service members, veterans, and their families. They have transformed organizations to better communicate with constituents about tax collection and enforcement; quantified economic impacts of diabetes on the United Arab Emirates’ economy; and created digital tools to improve citizen participation and engagement.
His work has resulted in hundreds of industry awards, including the coveted Bronze and Silver Anvils from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and recognition in the Public Relations Hall of Fame.
Grant is a board member of the Bethany College Alumni Council, PRSA, the International Association of Business Communicators, and the American Public Health Association. He is also a lifetime member of International Association for Public Participation, where he served two terms as a board member. He also was a board member for the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Region.
