National Security Agency (NSA) established the Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program to allow U.S. Government agencies to leverage commercial technology to provide data-in-transit and data-at-rest encryption for classified information. Having the ability to leverage commercial technology gives agencies the ability to implement wireless networks and use modern mobile devices in their classified missions.
The NSA CSfC program office publishes capability packages that contain the requirements for using commercial technology to secure classified national security systems. It also provides an approved component list with products certified against National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) protection profiles to meet minimum standards for use in a CSfC solution. Agencies can partner with an NSA-approved trusted integrator to modernize their classified spaces utilizing capability packages and products from the CSfC components list to take advantage of the efficiencies afforded in commercial technology to securely execute missions.
Booz Allen is a CSfC Trusted Integrator, providing client services such as requirements analysis, system design, test and integration, solution accreditation, CSfC registration with NSA, transition to operations, training, and information assurance support.
