Robert Gysi is an electrical engineer by education but relies on a multidisciplinary skillset to form the concepts that lead to completed solutions for his clients. “This means not only relying on my own experiences in these related disciplines,” says Robert, “but knowing when to reach out to others with expertise exclusive to a single field.” He has motto of sorts: Knowing when to reach out for assistance is as important as knowing the answers.
Like many engineers, Robert got into engineering because he loves being challenged and enjoys the hunt for a solution. “I spend a lot of time in the field, and I’m not only solving the issues on paper to design a system, but often the unintended interactions or issues that arise once integrated into the larger system. I never know what’s going to pop up and that not only keeps me on my toes, but keeps me looking forward to coming into work."
