Ziad N. Moukarzel is a senior leader in Booz Allen’s energy and environment practice, serving the Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) markets. Ziad is also the location general manager for our Doha, Qatar, office and leads the firm’s training programs in the MENA region.
Ziad applies expertise in devising strategies, institutional settings, regulatory frameworks, and operating models for the environment, utilities, and oil and gas sectors. Since joining Booz Allen in 2015, Ziad has led development and implementation of national and regional environmental strategies; design of institutional frameworks, emergency preparedness and response capabilities, fees, and tariffs; and development of environmental laws and regulations.
Prior to joining the firm, Ziad was a consultant for the Boston Consulting Group and an associate for Booz and Company, delivering strategy projects for utilities, oil and gas, construction, and media sectors. Previously, he was a project engineer, presales engineer, and project director at General Electric focused on providing top-tier utility companies with smart grid solutions.
Ziad earned a bachelor’s degree in computer and communications engineering from the American University of Beirut.
