Our strategy and technology consultants have empowered our international clients with the knowledge and experience they need to build their own local resources and capabilities.
Our clients call upon us to work on their hardest problems—delivering effective health care, protecting warfighters and their families, keeping our national infrastructure secure, bringing into focus the traditional boundaries between consumer products and manufacturing as those boundaries blur.
Booz Allen was founded on the notion that we could help companies succeed by bringing them expert, candid advice and an outside perspective on their business. The analysis and perspective generated by that talent can be found in the case studies and thought leadership produced by our people.
We've come a long way delivering innovative solutions. But our next chapter is still being written.
Our 22,600 engineers, scientists, software developers, technologists, and consultants live to solve problems that matter. We’re proud of the diversity throughout our organization, from our most junior ranks to our board of directors and leadership team.
I lead a team skilled in integrating cybersecurity into the land, air and sea missions of the Department of Defense, and it’s the importance of that work that motivates me in enabling the warfighting community.
I like knowing we are protecting our infrastructure and supporting the people who defend our country with the technology and analytics to do their jobs. The people here at Booz Allen inspire me after 28 years with the firm.
We set a high standard for people we bring into the firm, and I have the privilege of working side by side with those people. They keep me motivated and challenged.

What advice would you give yourself as a young professional? I wish I had known you that you don’t have to be prepared for everything. My innate ability went a long way. And at Booz Allen, it helped me to work in an environment that is so collaborative. Here, you get help and feedback, and you learn that taking risks is good. I wish I had been more confident and taken on more risks when I was younger.
Two words to describe you in high school: Nice and smart.
What was your first paying job? I was a receptionist for a radiologist.
What’s something you feel nostalgic about? The unstructured freedom of just being with friends. I had a tight group of friends in high school. We were happy just being together. Now life is so structured and calendars are so demanding. Back then we thought we had no freedom, but we had the ultimate freedom. I look back on those friendships and going through so much change in a short amount of time. We went through that all together, with only 50 people in my graduating class.
What can we all do to be happier in life? Enjoy the moment. Don’t always fret about “woulda, coulda, shoulda.” Just enjoy it. There’s something to be celebrated every day.
Why are you passionate about your work at Booz Allen? I’m fueled by the purpose of enabling the warfighting community. I started out in communication system technology, and we worked in communication for overseas military. I was very interested with the technical side, but I appreciated how important that capability was for the warfighters. Now I work primarily in cyber, and I like knowing we are protecting our infrastructure and supporting the people who defend our country with the technology and analytics to do their jobs. My second passion is helping our staff succeed in their careers. I’ve been here over 28 years, and I’m proud of that. It makes me proud of see people I’ve hired and those around me succeed.
Where do you see Booz Allen in the next 100 years? We will continue down the innovation path we are on. Going beyond consulting, we will look for new areas, not just for the sake of newness, but for what we can pursue to help our clients. We don’t want to be complacent, but we want to look for new areas to contribute. I never would have thought we would expand into the new developments like data science and energy, but we are exploring needs that are coming.
What are the untapped opportunities for your clients? In our world, it’s all about the people. And once we get the people, in the world of cyber, we have to develop great capabilities. We need to always be ahead of the threat and our clients need us to help them with the foresight to provide more proactive defense and less reactive response.
What’s the best business advice you’ve been given in your career? Make the best of whatever your role is. Your role will change, but representing yourself and doing the best you can will give you future opportunities. Be there for your team. And two, don’t be afraid to take on those new challenges when they are presented to you. Even if you aren’t 100 percent prepared to take it on, seek help and give it a go.
