Matthew Walter is a senior business, acquisitions, and contracts management professional with more 25 years of experience supporting internal and external clients. He currently leads a segment of Booz Allen’s corporate contracts organization overseeing services to a broad base of clients across the defense, intelligence, commercial, and international markets.
During his career, Matthew has been instrumental in helping senior leaders develop balanced approaches to mitigating risks while providing the best opportunity for business capture and successful execution. He provides expertise in the areas of regulatory compliance, issue resolution, client outreach and engagement, business development, and risk management.
Matthew is a come back kid, having first worked for Booz Allen for 8 years starting in 2006. During that time he was a leader in the firm’s contracts and subcontracts functions.
In between his former and current role at Booz Allen, Matthew served as vice president of contracts at Jones Group International, an international consulting, security consulting, and government services firm. In that role, he was responsible for all of the contracting and compliance activities throughout four distinct and different businesses. He’s also worked in senior manager roles at JP Morgan Chase & Co., Oracle Corporation and Software AG.
Matthew earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from James Madison University (JMU). He’s a member of the President’s Council at JMU, as well as the Parents’ Council. He’s also active in the National Contracts Management Association and the Professional Services Council.
