Jessica Tilghman studied neuroscience but became interested in consulting because it opened up new possibilities for her to play a role in science administration. In the process, Jessica’s client work allows her to utilize her scientific background while supporting critical research efforts.
Before joining Booz Allen, Jessica served as a scientific officer, managing a grant portfolio for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs, specifically the Spinal Cord Injury and Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury Research Programs. Her background involves negotiating and managing the execution of congressionally funded research and serving as the scientific and technical consultant for the contracting office executing the awards. Jessica brought this wealth of experience to Booz Allen, where she supports high-impact research writing and analysis for clients and translates complicated scientific concepts into everyday speech.
