Abby Cashman is a leader in human capital and organizational improvement for Booz Allen’s civilian services business, supporting public sector health, homeland security, transportation, and finance clients. She applies her expertise in areas such as strategic workforce planning, organizational assessment and transformation, talent analytics, competency modeling and assessment, and change management to help clients meet their missions.
Abby helps create leading-edge capabilities in cybersecurity talent management, people analytics, and workforce planning. She has co-led the development of several of the firm’s customized tools and offerings, including the Workforce Risk Evaluator, Smarter WorkForce Tool, Workforce Maps, and Workforce Planning Capability Maturity Model. As a program manager, she has led a Department of Homeland Security cyber talent management system effort, a workforce planning capability-building project for the Department of Veterans Affairs, and a Federal Aviation Administration shared service and organization transformation effort.
Prior to joining Booz Allen in 2000, Abby was a program officer for health and humanities for the Center for Field Research and a program coordinator for Earthwatch Institute.
She holds an M.B.A. in strategy and public sector management from Yale University and a B.S. in anthropology and English from Oberlin College.
