Soaring customer service expectations, government-wide initiatives, and congressional mandates are just a few of the many reasons government leaders are under growing pressure to anticipate and implement forward-leaning approaches to overcoming the great challenges our society will face in the coming decades.
Success in the face of such adversity and uncertainty, though difficult to define and even harder to achieve, will be made possible through the transformative power of exponential technologies. Exponential technologies, a term coined by Singularity University, are both products and enablers of the exponential growth that will propel human progress to the edge of what’s possible.
To help federal leaders take advantage of these exponential technologies, we are teaming with The Partnership for Public Service to launch “Future Forward: Harnessing the exponential power of technology.”
Over the next 10 months, we will host meetings and publish practical products to showcase how exponential technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), data science, digital fabrication, IoT networks, and robotics are transforming the future of government operations.
Stay tuned for recaps across the series.

With each of these publications, we work with the Partnership to bring leading research and best practices to senior government officials to promote the capacity of leadership strengthen mission delivery.
This partnership represents an old adage in Washington, “Nothing is constant, but change.” These publications and research help prepare federal leaders for the inevitable changes that stem from administration transitions, technology revolutions, and public sentiment. Each of the publications provides practical, non-partisan advice for managing these changes.
Also, since 2010 Booz Allen has served as a sponsor of the Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medals (Sammies) program, leveraging its presence across government to call attention to the good work being done by America’s civil service.
