GSA selects Booz Allen Hamilton for Alliant Contract Award

Contract provides federal government agencies a centralized source to acquire integrated Information Technology (IT) solutions worldwide.

McLean, VA – July 31, 2007 – The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced today that Booz Allen Hamilton is one of 29 firms selected for award under the Alliant contract. The contract has a 5 year base with one 5 year option and is valued at $50 billion. Alliant is a Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) that provides federal government agencies a centralized source to acquire integrated Information Technology (IT) solutions worldwide.
 
The contract vehicle is open to all federal agencies and provides streamlined access to a broad range of management and technical support services, enabling total and complex IT solutions to be acquired under a pre-competed multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (MA/IDIQ) contract.

Booz Allen Vice President Joe Logue called the award, “a very significant step forward. This contract vehicle will allow all agencies of the federal government to obtain the IT services they require in a manner that will increase efficiency and save federal tax dollars.” Logue will serve as Booz Allen’s Officer in Charge of the administration of the tasks the firm expects to win under the contract. Principal Dennis Pelehach is Booz Allen’s program manager for the contract.

In announcing the award today, GSA issued a press release saying in part, "GSA is proud to provide such comprehensive and robust contract solutions for IT services" said GSA Administrator Lurita Doan.
