University of Notre Dame College of Engineering Honors Alumnus Dennis O. Doughty

McLean, VA — Booz Allen Hamilton announced today that Dennis O. Doughty has received the "Engineering Honor Award" from University of Notre Dame for his significant contributions to the advancement of Engineering.

As President of Booz Allen's Worldwide Technology Business, Doughty was recognized for his contributions and achievements that serve as an exemplary model for Notre Dame students. Dr. Stanley R. Liberty, president-elect at Kettering University, also received the honor.

"The College of Engineering at the University of Notre Dame recognizes and appreciates the significant contributions of Mr. Dennis Doughty through his service to the university as a member of the Engineering Advisory Council," said Dr. Yih-Fang Huang, department chair of Electrical Engineering at University of Notre Dame, " and for his leadership in advancing technology and community services. Mr. Doughty is a good role model and an inspiration for our students."

Prior to being elected President, Doughty headed major business units in information technology and telecommunications that resulted in unprecedented growth for the firm and external recognition of Booz Allen Hamilton as a top-quality provider of information technology consulting services in the U.S. public sector market.

Doughty has served clients such as the General Services Administration, National Communications System, equipment manufacturers, state-owned enterprises, and government bodies in North America, Europe, and Latin America.

He holds a B.S.E.E. degree from the University of Notre Dame, and an M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California. He is based in the firm's McLean, Virginia headquarters office.
