Several Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE:BAH) employees have been named 2013 Modern Day Technology Leaders, part of the prestigious Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA), sponsored by the Career Communications Group. The winners were honored at a luncheon held during the 27th BEYA Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Global Competitiveness Conference, February 7-9 in Washington, DC.
Booz Allen’s Modern Day Technology Leaders are accomplished professionals working in the STEM fields. This year’s honorees are: Willie Camp, Jr, Lead Associate; Melissa Echevarria, Lead Associate; Aditya Handa, Lead Associate; Ghezal Mayel, Lead Associate; Thanh Nguyen, Associate; Pamela Pettyjohn, Lead Associate; Marla Redwine, Lead Associate; and Kebba Sallah, Associate. All of these individuals have distinguished themselves and represent Booz Allen in important ways.
Willie Camp, Jr is a Lead Associate within the Systems Development Center of Excellence. He serves as the Program Manager/Systems Engineer leading a staff of over 30, providing systems engineering, scientific research, program management and acquisition support to Department of Homeland clients.
Melissa Echevarria is a Lead Associate within Technology on the Cyber Technologies team. As a Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) on-site task lead, Ms. Echevarria supports high intensity Intelligence Community (IC) major issue studies.
Aditya Handa is a Lead Associate within Technology on the Cyber Technologies team. As a wireless and mobility expert, Mr. Handa has been supporting several US federal government and commercial clients with wireless technology evaluation/assessment, system architecture design, implementation in the mobile, fixed and emerging broadband wireless technologies arena.
Ghezal Mayel is a Lead Associate on the Cyber Technologies team. Ms. Mayel has demonstrated excellence in both public and private sectors, by providing over fourteen years of professional experience in managing programs and conducting senior-level functional and strategic IT Governance analysis.
Thanh Nguyen is an Associate within Technology on the Cyber Technologies team who holds Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications. Mr. Nguyen provides project management, strategy, planning and information assurance (IA) support to promote responsible and secure information sharing across the Intelligence Community.
Pamela Pettyjohn is a Lead Associate within Technology on the Systems Development team. As a Project Manager, she provides IT management support to facilitate and coordinate activities for multiple contracts across the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). Ms. Pettyjohn leads the CORE Discovery software development effort to help facilitate Collection Operations Management and Collections Requirements Management for the Defense CI & HUMINT Center (DCHC)/ Defense Technology Office (DXT).
Marla J. Redwine is a Lead Associate within Technology on the Cyber Technologies team. She serves as Program Manager for teams that deliver System Security Engineering (SSE) services across the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) enterprise. She leads numerous work streams that span multiple major IRS initiatives/programs. Her teams ensure security is embedded throughout the system development life cycle.
Kebba Sallah is an Associate within Technology on the Cyber Technologies team. As a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Engineering lead, Mr. Sallah supports DISA in maintaining and operating PKI services throughout the DoD. Mr. Sallah leads a team of Public Key Enablement (PKE) engineers who provide services such as implementation support, help desk support, and software development to increase the security and efficiency of the various PKIs in the DoD.
