Booz Allen’s Strategic Communications Capability Wins Slew of Industry Awards
On May 21, Booz Allen Hamilton was recognized with two coveted Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Bronze Anvil Awards. Chosen from among more than 750 submissions, Booz Allen received a Bronze Anvil Award for our work with the Real Warriors Campaign as one of the highest performing government communications efforts in the industry, and as one of the most outstanding social media campaigns. Our second Bronze Anvil was awarded for our efforts with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in the Research/Evaluation category for outstanding social media analysis. For more than 40 years, the Bronze Anvil Awards have celebrated the “best of the best” in public relations tactics, reflecting the growing scope, creativity and importance of strategic public relations, and Booz Allen is pleased to receive two of this year’s 50 Bronze Anvil Awards.
The Bronze Anvil awards are just the most recent of a slew of honors the firm’s Strategic Communications capability has accepted in recent months. Earlier this spring, the Real Warriors campaign won its first International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Gold Quill Award of Excellence, which celebrates the best in global business communications. The firm was recognized in the communications management division, government communication programs category.
In addition to these prestigious awards, the firm’s Strategic Communications capability has recently been honored with the following top awards and recognition.
The Ava Awards recognize outstanding work by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design and production of media that is part of the evolution of digital communication. Booz Allen won Gold Ava Awards for its work for the US Army Warrior Transition Command, Hire a Veteran Campaign – Video for the Web/Government; and for the US Army Warrior Transition Command, Hire a Veteran Campaign – Video Production/Government.
The Communicator Awards is the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence for Communications Professionals. Booz Allen was honored to receive several awards this year for its work with the Department of Veterans Affairs, including five Silver Awards of Distinction, five Gold Awards of Excellence, and three Platinum awards.
Booz Allen won a Gold Hermes Creative Award for the Applied Sciences Program Annual Report (Annual Report category) supporting NASA Applied Sciences Program.
Finally, the Real Warrior Campaign and the U.S. Air Force 2012 Energy Action Month Campaign are finalists for the PRSA Silver Anvil award, which honors complete communications programs.
