Growing up in a Navy family, I saw firsthand the demands and rewards of military service. Early on, it was the separation that was most apparent. As I grew older and talked with my father and his shipmates, I saw their deep patriotism, pride, and commitment to protect our freedom. On Veterans Day, we honor and thank our colleagues, clients, friends, and family members for their dedicated service to our nation.
Booz Allen has long and deep ties to the US armed services. We have continuously served the US Navy for 72 years, the US Army for more than 60 years, and US Air Force for more than 25 years. Today, Booz Allen is recognized by veterans’ organizations as a Best Company to Work For, and a company committed to serving those who serve –through our community support to organizations such as USO, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and Operation Homefront. Our firmwide Veterans Agenda, led by Senior Vice Presidents Ron Kadish, Carl Salzano, and Robin Portman, brings all of our initiatives together and guides programming in support of our veteran co-workers and the nation’s military and their families.
As a reminder, the firm’s Armed Services Forum is sponsoring a Veterans Day celebration at 11:30am on Monday, Nov. 12, in the Newman Auditorium in McLean, which will be webcast live. The guest speaker is GEN (RET) Richard “Butch” Neal, former Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps.
You can learn more about Booz Allen’s Veterans Agenda by joining the Armed Services Forum or volunteering for a veterans’ organization through Booz Allen Cares. For more information on our year-round support to veterans and wounded warriors, please see the Honoring Veterans site.
