Booz Allen Debuts VAMPIRE -- New Tactical Forensic Device for Law Enforcement -- at IACP Conference

On Sunday, Booz Allen will debut a powerful new device that will help law enforcement and the military conduct immediate fingerprint analysis at an incident scene – saving precious time in the initial stages of an investigation. The handheld VAMPIRE™ tactical device conducts real-time forensic analysis in the field, performing fast, accurate, on-site latent and live fingerprint identification and matching analysis in just seconds.

Booz Allen Hamilton Open Sources its Cloud Broker Project to Red Hat’s ManageIQ Community

Booz Allen Hamilton today announced that it has made its entire open source cloud broker project – which includes custom code, documentation, processes and best practices – publicly available via Booz Allen’s Github. The cloud broker project, codenamed “Project Jellyfish,” provides a framework and platform for organizations to act as internal or external brokers of cloud services. Project Jellyfish adds a layer of core broker-type functionality to cloud management, such as advanced catalog search and compare, project-based workflows, collaboration, dashboards, quotas and service blueprinting. Project Jellyfish leverages Red Hat’s cloud management platform, ManageIQ, with the goal of fostering open source collaboration and greater cloud management capabilities, thus enabling true “cloud first” and “open source first” initiatives amongst federal and commercial clients.

Booz Allen Hamilton Purchases Healthcare Unit of Genova Technologies

Booz Allen Hamilton today announced that it has purchased the Baltimore, Md.-based healthcare unit of Genova Technologies, a move that represents the firm’s commitment to further support the transformational efforts of the U.S. government’s Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
