Booz Allen Hamilton has reverse engineered its pioneering work to protect legitimate supply chains and has consulted with a variety of government clients to map out the complex systems of business processes involved in the smuggling of contraband goods around the world. The goal of these efforts is to target systemic vulnerabilities and cause cascading failures in these illicit supply chains. We have recently engaged clients on the global supply chain for cocaine, Acetic Anhydride (a precursor chemical used to produce heroin), and the supply chains for bulk currency that represent the proceeds of crime and the US- sourced weapons that depart the US for Latin America.
