Founded in 2005, the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) took as its driving concept: to spark dialogue and combine resources from across government, business, and civil society to bring changes that can improve the lives of people across the globe. CGI challenges its members—corporations, nongovernmental organizations, and individuals—to take action to solve specific problems such as chronic disease, greening and sustainability, education, or conditions and opportunity for women and girls in the developing world.
