Analysis & Strategy

In order for executive management to recognize the importance of a learning program, it is essential that your business case substantiate and communicate how learning drives performance and, thus is directly tied to the overall organizational strategy. At Booz Allen, we work with you to build the business case with comprehensive people strategies and technology strategies that are based on analysis of your vision, goals, and performance objectives.

We work with you to develop a strategic enterprise-wide learning roadmap that combines components of training with tools, technologies, and processes which support new learning techniques, knowledge management requirements, training content, and timely delivery needs. We recognize that above all else, training must deliver results that support and enhance the performance of the organization.

When a learning need is identified, we conduct a thorough analysis to ensure we understand the background and needs of each audience before we begin content design, conversion, or development. We capture and analyze competencies, performance-based goals and objectives, skill gaps, resource allocation requirements, delivery targets, infrastructure, and evaluation needs.

 


Design

At Booz Allen, we design learning solutions that enhance performance and provide for optimal learning experiences based on the roadmap created during the Strategy and Analysis Phase. During the Design Phase, we develop the training objectives, detailed content outlines, and storyboards to ensure the design accommodates appropriate branching and delivery media. When designing the learning offering, we consider learning tasks, learner preferences, content hierarchy and organization, media selection, usability, and evaluation requirements.

We apply our philosophy of rigorous adherence to interoperability web standards for engaging, immersive, and high-effective learner experiences. We design dynamic layouts and high-quality interactive content with relevant visuals, animation, and 3D graphics to complement a variety of learning formats, including performance support, job aids, self-paced simulations, online learning, and classroom training.

In the end, our goal is to ensure that the solution we design matches the technological, cultural, and strategic characteristics of your learner community.

 


Development

Whether your learning content is delivered through e-learning or leverages a blended approach, our team of instructional design and technology professionals create high-quality learning that is aligned with your business needs. We specialize in creating meda-rich, scalable, and reusable content for your curriculum, certification programs, simulations, and electronic performance support systems.

Based on your customized roadmap, we create the materials and media components, develop code, and perform quality assurance testing and debugging to ensure the products meet your requirements, in accordance with your standards. Our products comply with the appropriate standards defined in your roadmap, including Section 508 compliance and Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) 2004-conformance.

 


Implementation

During the Implementation Phase, we deploy the learning solutions. The activities during this phase are defined by the learning delivery methods defined in your roadmap. Based on your learning strategy and objectives, we provide learning for train-the-trainer programs, e-learning content, and blended classroom-based and online learning content.

Whether your delivery and distribution solution is a learning management system, content repository, or is a mix of technology extension and integration, we ensure your end-to-end solution provides your learners what they need, when they need it. At Booz Allen, we combine techniques, tools, and technologies to facilitate the successful adoption and integration of new learning interventions, always considering methods that maximize your existing investments.

 


Program Evaluation

When developing your organizational learning strategy, we ensure that program evaluation and management best practices are integrated from the start. We work with you to identify processes, criteria, and measurements to ensure your learning and performance outcomes are meeting the business imperative.

At Booz Allen, we offer a comprehensive approach to effective evaluation that provides feedback for training revisions and improvement, assesses learner reaction to the course and training environment, determines whether performance-based objectives have been met, and assesses impact on your organization-level and course-level objectives.

To ensure that all elements of the learning process, from the analysis of needs to the final presentation of product, meet your organizational and learners' goals, we map evaluation factors to specific learning objectives for traceability of the critical knowledge, skills, and abilities identified during the Design Phase.
