Booz Allen understands that training is critical to client success and program effectiveness. The federal government faces training challenges in a number of key areas. These challenges include training and educating leaders to operate in a joint environment, providing ongoing leader and staff development in highly mobile learning environments and ensuring that distributive learning is implemented in ways that enhance individual and organizational performance.
Booz Allen provides training and training development services that adhere to industry-accepted practices of Instructional Systems Design (ISD). Our blended ISD framework is grounded in the same five phases of training development as the Army Systems Approach to Training (SAT), identifying the domain components critical to supporting each phase of development and the core products required to support both classroom-based instruction and e-learning courseware development.
- Analysis – identifies required performance outcomes vis-à-vis organizational strategic goals, examines the relationships among organizational goals to determine inclusive, comprehensive approaches to performance issues and leverages intimate knowledge of organizations to define organizational and individual performance gaps
- Design – identifies solutions to mitigate performance problems and support optimal learning experiences, and build solutions that match the technological, cultural, and strategic characteristics of the learner community
- Development – identifies coordinated learning and non-learning interventions for performance problems
- Implementation – uses diverse implementation experience to provide techniques, tools, and technologies for successful adoption and integration of the new learning intervention
- Evaluation – integrates evaluation techniques to ensure that learning and performance outcomes match planned organizational and learning goals.
Booz Allen Success Story:
Booz Allen supported a joint Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Office of Personnel Management Design Team to develop options for a 21st Century HR system that incorporates flexibilities in the areas of pay, classification, performance management, discipline, appeals and labor relations. This landmark effort will have considerable impact on people and performance throughout DHS and the Federal government.
