Automation and Systems Task Area
HRsolutions Task Area Description:
Develop and maintain solutions that maximize web-based technology to support the HR programs of the Army. For example, design, evaluate and re-engineer systems that support the Army’s effort to ensure available trained manpower in the proper mix to support missions, HR policy development, program and budgeting and implementation for civilians and military, and programs related to mobilization, and demobilization of active military and reserves.
Booz Allen Capability Overview:
Booz Allen develops and maintains solutions that maximize web-based technology to support HR program systems design, evaluation and re-engineering. We recognize that systems serve a key purpose in the field of HR – to transform personnel data into HR intelligence. For example, future military forces will rely heavily on workforce analytics, multi-dimensional reporting and robust decision support to deliver operational HR intelligence to Combatant Commanders and HR managers. Booz Allen understands how to leverage technology to support HR processing and enterprise knowledge management. The Booz Allen team has developed and delivered a broad spectrum of system solutions from small, singular stand-alone decision support tools such as the Army Review Board Case Tracking System (ARBA), to robust ERP applications with multiple modules such as DIMHRS.
In developing automated HR systems, Booz Allen recognizes that its clients want to maximize the use of web-based architecture and existing IT infrastructure. Booz Allen’s approach follows a repeatable and verifiable process including system requirements, design, development/configuration, testing, production readiness and deployment. Booz Allen ensures quality assurance (QA) by providing dedicated QA specialists to measure performance at every system design milestone.
Booz Allen Success Story:
Booz Allen supported a joint Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Office of Personnel Management Design Team to develop options for a 21st Century HR system that incorporates flexibilities in the areas of pay, classification, performance management, discipline, appeals and labor relations. This landmark effort will have considerable impact on people and performance throughout DHS and the Federal government.
