IT Labor Categories

Each labor category specified below is defined with regard to education, general experience, and specific experience requirements. Training and certification requirements for a labor category are specified in the specific experience description. The duties normally performed by a person filling a labor category position are defined.

More and more, we find that the skills needed to meet task order performance, address today's problems and tomorrow's challenges require individuals with varying levels of education, specialized knowledge and experience. The correct combination of these three elements is often unique and dependent on the particular requirements associated with the work being performed. Therefore, Booz Allen's FABS Schedule utilizes equivalencies between experience and education that allow us to take the full measure of an individual's capabilities. The job descriptions defined in this section provide the general guidelines for each labor category, however reasonable consideration may be used for determining the optimal combination of experience and education on a task by task basis.
