Booz Allen and its Employees Win NVTC’s Hall of Fame Award
Citing its “dedication to innovation,” Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) and its employees were honored by the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) at its 14th annual Hot Ticket reception, held each year to honor the region’s best and brightest entrepreneurial technology companies.
The firm was given the Hall of Fame Award – presented by event sponsors and Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe – in recognition of its entrepreneurial culture. Said Taryn Horan, NVTC’s Sr. Director of Events and Programs, “The judges wanted to honor Booz Allen Hamilton on 100 years of great culture.”
Booz Allen Executive Vice President Karen Dahut, who serves on the NVTC’s Board of Directors, said of the award, “we are proud to be honored by the NVTC for our culture of innovation. Booz Allen is committed to encouraging entrepreneurialism among our employees and developing fresh solutions to global-scale challenges.”
During his remarks, Gov. McAuliffe discussed his dedication to jobs creation and to positioning Virginia as a cybersecurity hub.
