Information Technology
Booz Allen's software and systems engineers have helped clients develop, test, implement, and integrate computing hardware and software systems for tasks ranging from managing billions of dollars in real property assets to applying advanced computing technologies to perform military surveillance and target recognition.
No revolution has had as much impact on the way the world does business, conducts warfare, manages services, diagnoses illness, exchanges information, and...the list goes on...than the high-tech revolution in information systems.

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) needed help in fulfilling its Congressional mandate to guarantee retiree benefits as well as in managing its case backlog and accounting system. Booz Allen worked with PBGS to develop and implement a case administrative system redesign (CASR), a state-of-the-art, windows-based client/server system that manages workflow and data for every PBGC case from opening to closure. Thanks to its use of CASR at all levels of its day-to-day work processes, PBGC earned the 1995 Federal Technology Leadership Award, which honors federal organizations that have successfully used information technology to improve technical efficiency and provide outstanding service.
For the Assistant Secretary of Defense, C3I, at the Department of Defense (DoD), Booz Allen conducted extensive analyses and determined the advantages and disadvantages of DoD-wide consolidations of data centers, software management, and other elements of the Information Technology (IT) budget. As a result, management was able to manage IT assets and make informed decisions about consolidations.
