McLean, VA, August 6, 2004 — Booz Allen Hamilton was awarded the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command's (SPAWAR) Program Management Services — Major Services Acquisition (MSA), a single award, IDIQ contract to provide Enterprise breadth services. In addition to SPAWAR Headquarters, support will be provided to affiliated organizations including PEO-C4I and Space, PEO-IT, PEO(T), NMCI, PEO-LMW, and Echelon III Commands.
Enterprise breadth tasking under this contract vehicle will involve overarching financial, acquisition, and program management services. The program breadth portion of this contract allows Booz Allen to compete with three other MSA awardees for task orders. Program breadth tasking will focus on processes for specific programs, projects, appropriations, or acquisition requirements that are at a more finite level.
The MSA contracts include a two-year base period and four 6-month award terms. When combined, the aggregate value of all task orders awarded over the life of the four contracts is estimated to reach approximately $320 million over the four-year period of performance ending September 30, 2008.
The Booz Allen-led, 24-company team comprised of talented small and large businesses was selected for its ability to work together as a cohesive group, committed to provide world-class services and solutions in support of the SPAWAR Enterprise. "Booz Allen's MSA team looks forward to assisting the SPAWAR Enterprise in meeting the requirements of our warfighters by providing the most advanced and capable C4ISR systems to the Fleet," says Dave Karp, Booz Allen's Officer in Charge and Program Manager.
August 26, 2004 — As a counterpart to the Program Management Services prime contract, SPAWAR awarded a total of seven Major Services Acquisition — Engineering, Logistics, Installation, Test & Evaluation (ELITE) Support Services contracts. Under two of these ELITE contracts, Booz Allen will perform as a subcontractor to two Small Business Teams: Indus Technology, Inc. and Tele~Consultants, Inc.
